Meet the Aerotech owner and kit designer

Hi, my name is Wayne Siewert. I am the founder and kit designer of Aerotech Models, Inc. I have been involved in the aircraft modeling hobby for 55 years. I start in RC models about 30 years ago. I started WW Models in 1985. In 1993 the name was changed to Aerotech Models Inc. The first model of the KI84 "Frank" was introduced in 1991 and is still in production. In 1995, the P51D "Mustang" was introduced, followed by the P47 "Thunderbolt" in 1998.

My interests have always been in the design of new aircraft kits. I like to model the fighter aircraft of WWII.

Some of the accomplishments I have achieved, in the sport, that I am most proud of are:

1.     I have been a participant in all the Top Gun Contests

2.     I finished in 2nd place Sport scale at the 1987 AMA Nationals

3.     I finished in 1st place Expert scale at the 1988 AMA Nationals

4.     I received the George C Meyer Craftsmanship Trophy in 1988

5.     I received the Critics Choice award at Top Gun Contest in 1991

6.    I finished in 1st place Designer scale at the 1995 AMA Nationals

7.     I finished in 1st place Open Class Team scale at the 1999 AMA Nationals

8.     I have competed in several Scale Masters contests at both the Regional and National level.
