review by Jim Sandquist

The P47D has been designed as an exact scale representation, including rivets, Phillips head screws, and slotted screws, which are molded into the Grey gel-coat surface of the fuselage, horizontal surfaces, and the two piece plug in wing.

The P47D has a carbon fiber fuselage and horizontal flying surfaces, along with a two piece carbon fiber wing . The fuselage comes to the modeler complete with all bulk heads and firewall installed. The rudder, horizontal stabilizer, and elevators are all molded with carbon fiber and have the detailing molded in.

The two wings come complete with the landing gear plates and the wing attachment spars installed . The Fowler flaps and ailerons are pre-hinged and precut. Only the ends need to be cut to remove a functional flap and aileron. Servo trays for the flaps and the ailerons are already installed.

The retracts are by Aerotech with Robart Struts and need to be installed by drilling and tapping four 4-40 holes and attaching the inner and outer gear doors. The sequencing valve, door cylinders, gear door hardware, main gear, wheels, tail wheel, and all the plumbing come with the model.

The recommended engine for the P47 is a Brison 4.2 coupled with a special muffler made by AEROTECH which will dump the exhaust out the scale exhaust ports. The engine and muffler are optional items.

Each P47 kit comes with the following items:
